Pasta with Garlic Oil
Ingredients:
- Salt
- 8 oz. whole wheat spaghetti or other pasta
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
- 1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves
Directions:
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- When pasta is done, reserve 1/4 cup of the water, then strain the pasta.
- In pasta pot, heat oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes over medium until garlic has begun to brown.
- Add reserved pasta water, then pasta and parsley.
- Season with salt and toss to combine.
